The blank wire between the battery box and the first light is called the lead wire. Normally, the lead wire for our AA Pack is 18 inches and for our Waterproof AA Pack is 6 inches. If you are trying to hide the battery pack from your decoration, you may need more lead wire. By selecting to add lead wire, you are adding another 24 inches of lead wire.

Generally speaking, the 2 extra feet of lead wire will give you plenty of extra wire to hide the battery box. If not, you can go to our Parts section and pick up additional Lead Wire. You can add as many lead wires as you need.
